Policy

At HAUTE PIXIE: THE SHORT WIG COLLECTION, our mission is to deliver high-quality units to our customers. All wigs and toppers are custom-made as per the specifications on the order form, except for those that are ready to ship. We craft wig/topper sizes based on the head measurement charts available on the Head Measurement Guide page. For accuracy, please adhere to these charts. Should the head measurements be incorrect upon receipt, we will not remake the unit under any circumstances. Verify your head measurements thoroughly before ordering. HAUTE HUE Colors and Specialty Colors are produced as depicted on the HAUTE HUE Colors page. Upon receipt, please examine your wig closely. If it has been damaged during shipping or if there are any design issues, contact us within 24 hours with a description and photos of the issue. We will issue a reference number for you to return the unit, and we will address the issue by repairing or replacing the unit. To be eligible for a resolution, the wig or topper must be unworn, unaltered from its original design, and with tags intact. The return must occur within 5 business days from the receipt date. Given the unique nature of our products, we do not offer refunds or exchanges. All sales are final. Orders from The Collection, Toppers, or Sale pages are dispatched within 7 to 14 business days. For orders with multiple items, the shipping period may extend to 7 to 21 business days, and Full Lace Systems are dispatched within 14 to 21 business days.

 

Custom wig and topper orders can be placed on the "Create A Wig" page. Once a custom order is received, a price quote will be sent to you. If you accept the quote, a payment invoice will be emailed to you to finalize the order. This same process is used for all custom color add-on service requests for The Collection. The price quote will vary based on the complexity of the request and the labor required. Please be aware that due to the bespoke nature of our custom wigs, there are no refunds or exchanges. All sales are final. CUSTOM WIGS AND TOPPER ORDERS

Custom units are crafted to your precise specifications. Ensure that your measurements are accurate, and the color is as desired. We are not liable for incorrect measurements or color discrepancies due to monitor settings or photographs. Should your wig be damaged during shipping or contain errors upon arrival, we will happily address the issue. The unit must be returned unworn with tags intact. CUSTOM UNIT CHANGE ORDER POLICY

Our commitment to satisfying our customers' needs is paramount. Should you wish to modify the details of your custom order, we can accommodate changes based on the current stage of production. Items may be altered prior to production. If the cost of the modified item exceeds the price of the original item, the difference must be paid promptly. Conversely, if the new item price is lower than the original, a refund for the difference will be issued. Kindly be advised that wig/topper orders become final once production starts. You may cancel within 24 hours of placing your order. Beyond this timeframe, cancellations and refunds will be handled as per our established cancellation policy.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Please be aware that our wigs and toppers are custom-made. Once the production process starts, labor and material costs are incurred.

However, you do have a window to reconsider after your order is placed.

  • For standard orders cancelled within 24 hours of payment confirmation, you will receive a full refund.

  • For orders cancelled after 72 hours of payment confirmation, you will receive a partial refund, which includes 30% of the item price and the full shipping cost.

  • After the item has been shipped, it is not possible to cancel the order.

METHOD OF PAYMENTS

We accept all major debit and credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express, Discover, PayPal, and Venmo.

PAYMENT PLANS

We are thrilled to announce the availability of PayPal's 'Pay in 4' payment plan for all our customers. Upon approval, this payment option will provide the flexibility to buy now and pay later.

VIP MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM

HAUTE PIXIE grants all VIP Membership Program rewards based on the achieved status level (NO CASH AWARDS).

Upon reaching the Platinum Membership Level, you will be entitled to a FREE wig/topper from The Collection, valued at $140.00 or less. Should you opt for a higher-priced unit, an invoice for the price difference will be sent to you. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

PROMOTIONS POLICY

All sales and promotions, including the HAUTE PIXIE VIP Membership Program and Loyalty Points Program, must be redeemed individually. Combining them for additional discounts or monetary redemption is not permitted. Each program must be redeemed on its own, with no exceptions.

FILING AN INSURANCE CLAIM FOR HAIRLOSS DUE TO ILLNESS OR SCALP DISORDERS

Guidelines for Filing Initial Insurance Claims: 

  1. Most insurance policies cover "Prescribed Cranial Prosthesis" but do not cover wigs.

  2. The Insurance C.P.T code most commonly used is CPT-ORN-1.

  3. Get a letter and/or prescription from your doctor.

  4. Make sure that the letter or prescription is for "Prescribed Cranial Prosthesis"

  5. It should not say wig-if it does, have it redone, otherwise your claim will most likely be refused.

  6. Have a receipt from the person performing the service (from whom you purchase the Cranial Prosthesis). Make sure it says "Prescribed

  7. Cranial Prosthesis."

  8. Submit your claim to your insurance company. once it's approved, your insurance company will reimburse you for the cost of your unit.

  9. Consult with your insurance company to confirm the companies guidelines and procedures. Some insurance claim submissions may vary.

 

Waiting for your claim to be processed - prepare yourself for having your claim denied:

  1. Know your rights as the insured party.

  2. Obtain a copy of your FULL contract with your carrier (most of us only have a "Summary of Benefits" provided by the employer).

  3. Read and know your contract. 
    A . Pay attention to the "exclusions" Wigs are excluded for cosmetics reasons. 
    Pay special attention to Prosthesis coverage. Most policies do not spell out exclusions under Prosthesis, and this is how you are likely to

  4. have your claim accepted.
     

Submitting your appeal - (after denial of claim as not a covered benefit)   

  1. Write asking for a review by the Medical Review Board.

  2. Attach copy of original claims.

  3. In your letter, inform them of the difference between a wig and Prosthesis. (A wig is a fashion item and not a necessity. Prosthesis is a

  4. necessity comparable to plastic surgery for a burn victim).

  5. Ask for a written reply. (Companies try to avoid putting anything in writing).

  6. Address your letter to a supervisor in the Claim Department.

 

PRIVACY POLICY

According to our privacy policy, we may share with third parties some details from our users' registration applications. However, we will not disclose your name, address, email, or telephone number without your informed consent, your authorization, or unless legally compelled, in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

YOUR CONSENT

We will not rent or sell your name, address, email address, credit card information, or personal information to any third party without your permission. If you have made a purchase from our store, subscribed to our newsletters, participated in our competitions, or provided us with your email address, postal address, and phone number, we may occasionally inform you about news and special opportunities via email, post, and telephone.

COMMUNICATION & MARKETING

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The terms and conditions of HAUTE PIXIE: THE SHORT WIG COLLECTION constitute the final and complete agreement between the parties, and no amendments or changes to these provisions will be binding on HAUTE PIXIE: THE SHORT WIG COLLECTION unless they are in writing and signed by an authorized officer of HAUTE PIXIE: THE SHORT WIG COLLECTION. Our team will not modify any terms, and the shipment of goods following the receipt of the buyer's purchase order, shipping request, or similar documents containing terms and conditions that add to or conflict with these terms will not alter the agreement. Should any term, clause, or provision be deemed invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such a ruling will not affect the validity of any other term, clause, or provision contained herein.

ACCEPTANCE OF ORDERS

All orders require written price confirmation from authorized HAUTE PIXIE: THE SHORT WIG COLLECTION staff unless otherwise stated in writing to be fixed for a certain period. Shipping goods without this price confirmation does not imply agreement to the price specified in the order.

CHECKING YOUR DETAILS

To verify the details submitted to our website, you may contact us using the e-mail address, telephone number, or address provided below. Our security procedures may require proof of identity before disclosing information. This will consist of your e-mail address and password registered with us. We strongly advise against using the browser's password memory function, as it could allow others using your device to access your personal information. Instead, write it down and store it in a secure location.

OPT OUT/CORRECTIONS

Upon your request, we can (a) correct or update your personal information, (b) cease sending emails to your email address, and/or (c) disable your account to prevent any future purchases through it. The majority of the information we collect is acquired through our Site, and this Privacy Policy is applicable solely to the online collection of personal information. We also gather information offline, where we endeavor to protect the privacy of your personal information. For instance, this may occur when someone calls us to place an order or to inquire about our services. SUBSTITUTION

HAUTE PIXIE: THE SHORT WIG COLLECTION reserves the right to substitute an alternative product of similar kind, quality, and function without prior notification. If the buyer does not accept a substitute, they must explicitly state that no substitution is allowed either when requesting a quote, if such a request is made, or at the time of placing an order if no quote was requested.

PRICE

Prices quoted, including any transportation charges, are valid for 10 days unless marked as firm for a specific period according to a written quote or sales acceptance issued or confirmed by an officer or authorized representative of HAUTE PIXIE: THE SHORT WIG COLLECTION. A price marked as firm for a specific period can be revoked by HAUTE PIXIE: THE SHORT WIG COLLECTION if the revocation is in writing and is mailed to the Buyer before HAUTE PIXIE: THE SHORT WIG COLLECTION receives a written acceptance of the price.

CARRIER TRANSPORTATION

Unless specified otherwise, HAUTE PIXIE: THE SHORT WIG COLLECTION will exercise its discretion in choosing the carrier and routing. Regardless of the choice made, HAUTE PIXIE: THE SHORT WIG COLLECTION will not be responsible for any delays or excessive transportation charges arising from its selection.

PACKING

Unless specified otherwise, HAUTE PIXIE: THE SHORT WIG COLLECTION will adhere to its minimum packing standards for the chosen method of transportation. The buyer will bear the cost of any special packing, loading, or bracing they request. Additionally, the buyer will cover all expenses related to the packing and shipment of their special equipment.

We encourage anyone who encounters our product images or videos on platforms other than hautepixiewigs.com to report any unauthorized use of our images discovered online, on social media, or in print immediately.
